Ukulele Christmas!

with Duncan Perry

Only 4 days left to register!

Music of the Christmas season is well loved and great fun to play on the ukulele!  Are you ready to Rock Around the Christmas Tree, Deck the Halls with Boughs of Holly, and have a Holly Jolly Christmas? Then this program is for you. You’ll begin by reviewing strumming and chording basics then quickly move on to easy-to-play carols and tunes. Learning will be graduated as songs with increasing numbers of chords and requiring more complex techniques are added. To get the most out of this program, you should know how to comfortably play the ukulele using common chords and strumming patterns. Here’s a taste of the songs we’ll explore:  We Wish You a Merry Christmas, Hark the Herald Angels Sing, Joy to the World, Silent Night, The Little Drummer Boy, Walkin’ In a Winter Wonderland, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, Do You Hear What I Hear, We Three Kings and more!

If you don’t own a ukulele, please contact your instructor, Duncan Perry, at ( for guidance about buying one.

About Your Instructor:

Duncan is an experienced multi-instrumentalist who has been performing and teaching folks how play the ukulele for the last 13 years. Having served as a volunteer music therapist in medical and hospice settings, he quickly came to understand that music is medicine and that learning to play an instrument not only sharpens the brain but helps reduce stress. It also brings joy to the ukulele player and to her or his audience. Duncan has taught in a variety of Maine communities and has not let the COVID-19 epidemic stop him. He simply moved from teaching in person to teaching online, which has proven to be a popular format enabling him to spread the joy of ukulele across the state.
