In this class, you and your young explorer will learn about animal habitats, life cycles, animal and plant adaptations, aquatic life, decomposition, and conservation of Maine’s forest, field, pond, and stream habitats. Each fall-themed class will feature a fun and engaging lesson, guided exploration and activity time, story, movement, and craft. Fall is a wonderful time to get out and explore nature all around us! 

Ages 4-8 with an Adult Caregiver(s)

Thursdays, September 16 - November 18 (10 classes) 

10:45 am - 12:00 noon

$150/pair 

Rosamind and Saunders Family Forest, Kennebec Land Trust, Readfield 

*Adult Caregivers include parents, guardians, grandparents, or aunt/uncles *Please wear clothing appropriate for outside exploration and short hikes *Masks will be required for the health and safety of our children 

Nicole Danielson loves sharing nature with families! In addition to being a classroom teacher for many years, Nicole was the Director of the Children’s and Family Programs of the Audubon Naturalist Society in Chevy Chase, Maryland, and the Director of the Summer Camp Nature Programs at Montshire Museum of Science in Norwich, VT. Most recently, she was Director of Maple Tree Community School in Readfield, Maine. She is excited to reconnect families together and share the joy of nature with multigenerational families!
