Commercial Driver Licensure Class B Training - Spruce Mountain

Maranacook CDL Class B Truck Driving School - Fall/Winter 2022-23 CDL Training overview, class dates and times

Our CDL (Class B) class prepares students to meet the State of Maine Class B driving licensing requirements. The course consists of close to 50 hours of classroom and 30 hours of range and road driving instruction to prepare students for the state road test.

Costs: The CDL training is provided at no cost to those who qualify and includes: Class and drive time, permit fee, one endorsement (Bus, Tank, or Hazmat), DOT physical examination, one state driving test (including use of the vehicle for testing purposes) and all required drug testing. Students may enroll in the class by submitting a check to RSU 38 Maranacook Adult Education, 2250 Millard Harrison Drive, Readfield, Maine 04355.

Class Time: All class dates must be attended in their entirety for students to receive CDL certification. Any absences will require students to pay for the missed instructional hours. All classroom instruction will occur at Spruce Mountain Adult Education.

Drive Time: Driving time for school bus will occur M-F, 8am-5:00pm. Driving time for the dump truck will be M-Su, 8am-5:00pm. Individual student driving appointments will be arranged by instructors with CDL students. Due to the large number of students in the class, it is expected that students will not complete all of their required drive time until January 31st, 2023. All driving instruction (dump truck and school bus) will occur at our training facility on 75 North Road in Readfield.
