Lakers Track Club-Boys & Girls

Track is a wonderful opportunity to meet a lot of new people, get physically fit, and build character, all while having lots of fun. All that is required for practice is a pair of running shoes, athletic clothing, and a water bottle. Instructors: Mark Dennett, Maranacook Track Coach, Current and Former Maranacook Community High School Track & Field Athletes (Mark has over 12 years coaching experience)
Dates: June 24-August 10, 2019
Mondays and Tuesdays, 5-6:30 pm
Track meets: Thursdays, 10 am (optional)
Registration: $55 (includes a T-Shirt) plus $2 entry fee for each track meet (optional)

Little Kickers Soccer Camp Ages 5-8

Campers experience the principle of one ball to one person and how it is used to develop ball control skills. Children will develop balance, coordination and gross motor skills through a variety of drills, activities and game situations. Previous soccer experience not necessary. Please bring a labeled soccer ball, labeled water bottle Shin guards, soccer cleats/sneakers, short/ sweats, t-shirt/tank top and sunscreen.
Instructors: Ryan Martin, MCHS graduate & 3 sport player. Ryan had coached Little Kickers for 14+ years

This training prepares you for all 3 licenses: Recreation, Fishing & Hunting (with emphasis on Map & Compass), Search & Rescue and Canoeing & Canoe Rescue. You will be 100% ready to take one of Maine’s toughest outdoor tests. A manual with practice tests will be provided on the first day of class. Anyone pursuing their Maine Guide License will also need First Aid, which is available for students on May 9th, at 6 pm. An enrollment form will be sent with class confirmation

If you have a favorite old chair or ottoman, don’t discard it: reupholster it!! Under the direction of a skilled instructor, you will learn basic upholstery techniques and complete a small project during this 8 week class. Students purchase fabric on their own. Supply fee ($15-$25, depending on your project) payable to instructor.

This class teaches professional welding skills and technology for those wishing to enter the welding profession or a technical college program. Hobbyists welcomed. No previous welding experience is required. Each class includes approximately 30 minutes of theory and safety training and 2 hours of hands-on welding. Safety glasses, welding gloves, and leather boots required. Book and supply fees are due at registration.
