Little Kickers Soccer Camp Ages 5-8
with Ryan Martin
Campers experience the principle of one ball to one person and how it is used to develop ball control skills. Children will develop balance, coordination and gross motor development in cooperative play through a variety of drills, activities and game situations. Previous soccer experience is not necessary.
Please bring a labeled soccer ball, labeled water bottle; shin guards, soccer cleats/sneakers, short/sweats, t-shirt/tank top and sunscreen are all required.
Instructors: Ryan Martin, MCHS graduate & 3 sport player. Ryan has coached Little Kickers for 14+ years

Maranacook Theatre Arts Camp

If your child is interested in acting, this is a great opportunity for them to learn from one of the best. Sam is a 2007 graduate of Maranacook. Currently he is an Edtech at Maranacook, and in 2011 he received a Bachelors of Art in Theater from UMaine. Sam has also done Improv classes in Los Angeles and was the director for the 2018 Maranacook Spring play.

Readfield & the Civil War NEW!

THE CIVIL WAR: Its impact on Readfield and some stories about our Civil War Veterans
Between 1861 and 1865, the small town of Readfield bid farewell to 160 men as they bravely left Readfield to serve in the Civil War. Twenty-seven of them were killed or wounded. In this presentation you will hear some of their stories and also about some of the War’s impact on Readfield. What better time to honor them in this way then during Memorial Day week?

Our presenter and local historian, Dale Potter-Clark, is a founding member and consultant for the Readfield Historical Society and co-leader of the Readfield history walks. Dale’s family has lived in Readfield for over 10 generations.
All proceeds will be applied to Readfield’s “Museum in the Streets ®”historical site markers’ fund.

Water Colors for Beginners NEW!

This class is for the true beginner, but also open to those who have painted in Watercolor but need a little help improving their skills. Each week students will be introduced to an element of the landscape and then begin putting those elements together. They will learn watercolor techniques such as dry brushing, scraping and wet-into-wet applications. They will also be introduced to color theory. Classes will begin with a helpful critique and demonstration of a new technique. A required workbook is included in the class fee. Students are responsible for their own materials. A recommended materials list is available at registration.

Instructor Bio: Linda graduated from the University of Maine at Augusta with honors holding a Bachelor's Degree in Studio Art. She has participated in many juried shows, and won numerous art competitions. Linda's paintings are held in public and private collections throughout the United States and the United Kingdom. Welding Basics-NEW DATES!!

This class teaches professional welding skills and technology for those wishing to enter the welding profession or a technical college program. Hobbyists welcomed. No previous welding experience is required. Each class includes approximately 30 minutes of theory and safety training and 2 hours of hands-on welding. Safety glasses, welding gloves, and leather boots required. Book and supply fees are due at registration.
