Decal Gymnastics-Ages 6-7 (April Session)

Decal Gymnastics, in cooperation with Maranacook Adult Education, is proud to offer gymnastics classes for children ages 6-7 at Maranacook Community Middle School in Readfield. Students will be using all the gymnastics apparatus: floor exercise, balance beam, uneven bar, spring board and more.  

This is for a 6-week session. Class size is limited and will fill up so register NOW!! 

Please make sure your child is dressed in appropriate gymnast attire: leotard, shorts, sweatpants, T-Shirt, NO shoes or socks. Long hair should be pulled back.

Join the “Bee Whisperer”, Peter Cowin, as he covers the basics of beekeeping. Learn about bees, equipment and the gear needed to get started, how to establish new hives, pests and diseases of honeybees, seasonal management of beehives in Maine, and of course, honey production. Peter has kept honeybees since the age of 11, and now runs 100 hives in Hampden. He is president of the Penobscot County Beekeepers Association, and is on the MSBA swarm team.

First time felters welcome! Learn some tips and tricks to create a head with face features. (If time allows make 2 heads.) All materials supplied, or you may bring your own. Supplies available at class for $8, includes felting pad, needles, rolling stick, fleece (you keep all supplies). If you bring your own needles, pad etc. supply fee $5, includes fleece.

Everyone gets enough fleece to take home to continue felting. Supply fees payable to Instructor at class.

Cooking With Essential Oils

Come join us in hands-on class and take home some simple and delicious treats made with essential oils.  You will learn how to determine what oils are safe to take internally and how to use them. You will have the opportunity to sample a variety of treats including a dip, main dish, and a sweet treat as well as the recipes so that you can make them at home.

 There will be a lab fee for this class of $20 to cover food and oil costs.

Spring is coming (really, it is!!!), and with it comes throwing open windows, clearing out the dust, and getting the gardens ready for another growing season.  Whether wiping the dirt out of your home or wiping the dirt off  your hands, we have natural solutions for keeping pests and critters out, for returning the sparkle, and for supporting your organic gardening.  All are super simple, proven eff ective, and will have you breathing easy, literally and fi guratively. And you’ll get to make a couple goodies, along with the recipes to make more. These are easy to make -- one will freshen up your home and another will keep pests adhering to the “hospitality rules”.

Come join us in this two-night hands-on class and take home three beautiful and useful bars of soap made with essential oils.  You will learn how to make beautiful soap out of multiple mediums, such as goats’ milk, shea butter or oatmeal. You will bring home a lovely scented bar of soap made with your own hands. Supply fee $20, payable to instructor.
