Yoga is your natural state. The practice reveals to you where you might have habitual holding patterns that resist your natural state. Spring supports us in a fresh start. This class is for you if you want gentle poses with a deep inner focus and advanced subtle training, even if you’re a beginner. Everyone welcome.

Around the Country in 49 Days NEW!--This is the story of a 2017 camping road trip from Maine to California and back. We will make stops at 35 mostly lesser known National Parks and interesting sites, and discover more about our country. March 7, 2019

Ireland NEW! “Ireland has the resources of an island but the culture of a civilization.” This program will focus on the 26 counties of the Republic of Ireland. It will look at the scenery, at major cities, the literary contributions, flora and fauna and take a brief look at some of Ireland’s legendary islands. March 21, 2019

The Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem NEW! The Nat. Park Service is now over 102 years old and Yellowstone was the first National Park. Its ecosystem, however, includes both Grand Teton and Glacier National Parks. We will also look at the formation of the Park Service, the ecosystem concept and threats to the future of this iconic place. April 4, 2019

If you have a favorite old chair or ottoman, don’t discard it: reupholster it!! Under the direction of a skilled instructor, you will learn basic upholstery techniques and complete a small project during this 8 week class. Students purchase fabric on their own. Supply fee ($15-$25, depending on your project) payable to instructor.

Welding Basics

This class teaches professional welding skills and technology for those wishing to enter the welding profession or a technical college program. Hobbyists welcomed. No previous welding experience is required. Each class includes approximately 30 minutes of theory and safety training and 2 hours of hands-on welding. Safety glasses, welding gloves, and leather boots required. Book and supply fees are due at registration.

Working with your Woodland – a course for land owners and others. Presented by: Maine Forest Service, Maranacook Adult & Community Education, Kennebec Woodland Partnership

This series of presentations and field tours is a follow-up to our fall sessions on woodland management on small ownerships. The course is open to woodland owners, loggers, foresters, town officials, and others interested in learning more about woodland management issues and options. Attendees may join for one or all of these sessions. The instructor is Morten Moesswilde, District Forester for the Maine Forest Service, unless otherwise noted.
