DIY Gifts with Essential Oils

Come join us and make some unique and useful gifts for that special person in your life or even yourself!  We will be making handmade gifts with Essential Oils.  These gifts will be appreciated as a thoughtful expression of your caring.  You will have a choice: shampoo, conditioner, moisturizing cream, shaving cream, aftershave, beard oil and more. 

There will be a supply charge for this class:  $10 per item, make 1 or more, maximum of 4 per class.

Tanya is a professional numerologist and provides private readings and consultations, and has written several published articles on the subject. 





CDL Class B: Dump Truck or Bus

Commercial Driving License (CDL) Class B: Dump Truck or Bus

This class prepares you to meet the Maine DMV Class B driving requirements. The course consists of 42 hrs of classroom instruction to prepare you for the state CDL written and skills exam and 30 hours of one-on-one driving instruction to prepare you for the state road test.

Class fee covers:  class and driving fees, permit fee made payable to Secretary of State, one endorsement (Bus, Tank, or Hazmat), physical examination by certified doctor, one state test (including one use of the vehicle for testing purposes). Additional endorsements of Bus, Tank and Hazmat are $25 each.

Saturdays 8:30 am-3 pm

Thursdays 5:45 pm-9 pm

The Amazon is one of the longest rivers in the world and by far the largest in volume.  We will travel via islands in the Caribbean, cross the equator and then Journey 1000 miles up the river, making 6 stops along the way.  These include two indigenous communities and the capital of Amazonia, Manaus, with its magnificent theater in the heart of the rain forest.

Essential Oils and CBD 101 (A Make and Take Class) 

Maybe you’ve been hearing about essential oils, including CBD oil, and are curious, or maybe you just like finding ways to make gifts for others and to make things for your own use at home.  Learn about essential oils, how they’re made, and all the ways they can be used, from making our houses smell good to replacing health and beauty products (and less expensive, too!) to supporting our physical and emotional health. And, since CBD is an essential oil in its own right, we’ll give you the skinny on that, too. You’ll get to make a couple goodies, along with the recipes to make more.  These are easy to make and are great to use yourself and to give as gifts for teachers, friends, family…  We’ll be making sugar scrubs (for that winter dry skin) and room/linen sprays.

Readfield History:The Beans of Readfield, Maine

Local historian and author,  Dale Potter-Clark, is a founding member of the Readfield Historical Society and co-leader of the Readfield history walks. Dale’s family has lived in Readfield for 10 generations.

The Beans of Readfield, Maine 

The Beans were significant landowners, manufacturers and farmers here 1780 into the 19th century. Their mills and farms were concentrated on and around Thundercastle Road, but some lived on Kents Hill and near Readfield Depot too. At one time Torsey Pond was called Joel Bean’s Pond and nearby was another small mill pond called Bean’s mill pond. They built many beautiful stonewalls, dams and foundations that have endured for two centuries. They also had their share of tragedy. Come and learn about “The Beans of Readfield, Maine”.

Come join us and learn how chemicals in your cleaning supplies are making your home toxic and what you can do about it.  We will discuss how you can detox your home with natural cleaning supplies you can easily make at home. We will discuss why you should clean with essential oils, the science behind using essential oils for cleaning, safety guidelines and tips for cleaning with essential oils and We will discuss how to use essential oils for cleaning, which oils to use and you will receive recipes for making products for your laundry, bathroom, kitchen, carpets, glass, wood and even the air!  We will make a general cleaning product for you to take home. $10 supply fee, payable to Instructor.
